Pastoral Care and Wellbeing

At Eaton Square Prep School, we prioritise the wellbeing of our pupils. Our Pastoral Care programme ensures that each child feels supported, valued, and safe.

Our Approach

Personalised Support

We recognise that every pupil is unique. Our team tailors their assistance to meet individual needs, whether it is addressing academic challenges, fostering resilience, or promoting mental health awareness.

English as an Additional Language (EAL)

Our EAL Coordinator assists pupils whose first language is not English. We offer language support, cultural integration, and academic guidance to ensure their success.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

Our SENDCo collaborates with pupils, parents, and teachers to identify and address specific requirements. We create personalised support plans to ensure every pupil thrives.

Listening Teacher

Our compassionate Listening Teacher provides confidential support to pupils. Whether they need someone to talk to, manage stress, or navigate personal challenges, our Listening Teacher is there for them.

Transition from Home to School

Our gradual and nurturing approach, combined with collaboration between parents and teachers, ensures children feel comfortable and confident during their early days at school.

Initiatives and Policies

We place great importance on safety and promote fairness, equal opportunities, and respect for all, regardless of background or ability. Our school actively advocates for anti-racism in education and participates in Anti-Bullying workshops, discussions, and activities.

Personal, Social, and Health Education (PSHE)

PSHE is an integral part of our curriculum. Through age-appropriate lessons, pupils learn about relationships, mental health, physical wellbeing, and personal safety. Through our school values we foster perseverance, ownership, integrity, service, and empathy.
