Children from EYFS to Year 6 embarked on a global reading adventure. Celebrating the journey that reading offers, they created bookmarks inspired by books set in Nepal, Russia, Australia, Afghanistan, and Antarctica. The week was filled with short reading bursts and a House Reading session, where older pupils read to younger ones. The highlight was the fancy dress day, with prizes for the most sustainable and creative costumes. “I especially enjoyed the costumes and the House Reading, with older children reading with the younger ones,” said Dr Hafalla.
