Eaton Square Wins Language Learning Awards!

“He who knows no foreign languages knows nothing of his own” – Johann Wolfgang von Goethe.

At Eaton Square, we take great pride in our Modern Languages department. We are therefore thrilled to share the latest success of our young linguists.

The Young Language Learner Award, open to pupils aged 6-11 from across the country, requires children to write their own comic or story in a foreign language of their choice. Impressively, Year 6 pupil Alexandra came second in this nationwide competition for her ‘Buzzy Bumble’ artwork (pictured).

In addition, the Association for Language Learning and Network for Languages ran their annual European Day of Languages Writing Competition. Our pupils created fantastic pieces on the theme, ‘Outside My Window’. Congratulations to Year 4 pupil Clara for her fantastic prize-winning entry.
