This week was Book Week, and to celebrate this we have had a week full of activities celebrating the love of reading and story-telling. On Tuesday, 6K delivered an assembly all about World Book Day and the importance of books.  They shared some of their favourite characters with us and explored the theme of heroes and villains.
On Thursday our Scholastic Book fair started in 79, and children have been buying lots of lovely books each day before and after school. Thursday was also World Book Day, and all of the children came to school dressed as their favourite hero or villain from a book they love. There were some amazing costumes, and it was great to see so many children ‘in character’ throughout the day! We also had three authors visiting the school, delivering fascinating workshops to the children from Rec-Year 6! Today, some of the children were able to get involved in a ‘storytelling through dance’ workshop too; it has been a fun-filled week all round!
